Schematics of cleavage-sites by ZFNs along the darc gene. This figure graphically illustrates the sites and frequency of ZFN cleavage of the darc gene. Two ZFN cleaving at positions approximately 0.5 and 0.75 within the context the darc gene are shown, although others could be re-engineered by the methods described in the text [22, 23, 28]. Hits (blue, green, and gold bars) represent targets along the gene (red bars). ZFN hits in the graphic are color-coded based on spacer size (5 bp = Blue; 6 bp = Green; 7 bp = Gold).
