Correction of MPS IIIA enzymatic phenotype in vitro. MPS IIIA cells were transduced with 68, 167 or 508 ng p24 equivalent of the pHIV-1pgkmsulp vector and cell lysates assayed for sulphamidase activity as described in Materials and methods (Gene transduction). Conditioned medium from the cells transduced with 508 ng p24 equivalent of vector was added to untransduced cells (cross correction), and again, cell lysates assayed for sulphamidase activity. Normal and untransduced MPS IIIA cells were used as controls.
